A new and unique to explore Japan’s Seto inland sea has arrived!

Guntu, a 19 room luxury hotel that cruises along the inland sea with stop overs at many of the small islands peppered throughout the region.

Designed by Japanese architect Yasushi Horibe, this 81.2 meters long and 13.75 meters wide boat boasts spectacular views from the large windows and patios of all its rooms. The design concept of each room is ” A small size of the accommodation that floating in Seto Island sea “, which incorporates plenty of warm wood into its design and guests can smell the fragrance of wood while on board.

The Guntu offers all amenities to what guests would expect from a luxury hotel; observation deck, gym, shop, beauty salon, lounge, cafe and bar, communal hot spring area, tearoom, and sushi bar. All guests will be able to relax and fully enjoy the journey.

Journeys on the Guntu can be from one night to three nights with meals and activities included but will set its guests back about JPY300,000 or USD2,700 per night
