Girly, Cute, Pink: Harajuku Fashion

Yusukes

Harajuku ALTA is a typical KAWAII (which means “cute”) fashion complex. It was opened in 2015 near the entrance of Takeshita-dori Street which is Tokyo’s popular teen-fashion bazaar. So around 20 shops in the ALTA target girls in her teens and provides trendy and youthful items at low prices. You can coordinate the Kawaii fashion from head to toe under 100 dollars. Once you step in the complex, you will have a fashion culture shock by the Harajuku fashion (sometimes called Fairy Kei) “Oh, this is KAWAII and HARAJUKU fashion!”

Clothing

A theme on the first floor is “Longing for Kawaii.” There are cute and bright wardrobes, almost all of which are pink colored. They will make the girls look mature. On the other hand, some shops offer Japanese traditional clothes such as KIMONO.

Accessories

These shops have numerous, shiny accessories and other items such as bags, shoes, boots, beauty supplies and snacks. The Disney Store which has white basic tone and castle-like since it’s under the theme of “Cinderella” has the character goods. More interesting shop is the 39 Store where you can get all items for JPY390.

Cafe

There is a cafe named “World Project Kawaii” on the 3rd floor. They serve their original Ramen, pancakes and so on. The cafe apparently is base on the concept of Kawaii and its atmosphere is fairy-tale one.

Others

You can enjoy more after shopping and cafe. How about making your special memory? Several Prikura are there as you may see it at game arcades in Japan already. Prikura is a kind of photo booth for fun, and no teens have never experienced it. Plus, the “brooming”, the shop’s name, lets you put the costumes for Cosplay on yourself for free. Let’s take a prikura with the costumes.
