A hotel in the park? “INN THE PARK” in Numazu, Shizuoka

INN THE PARK” is a hotel that was made with the concept of creating a hotel that is a part of the park facilities. This experienced-based multi-faceted facility was created with young people in mind and it was made to satisfy the following 3 functions, accommodation 2. meals and 3. activities in nature.

Accommodation:

The existing accommodation facilities were renovated so that hotel guests can have a comfortable stay.

In addition 4 dome tents have been set up inside the woods in the park so that the facility is a part of the park, literally speaking, “in the park.”

Meals:

The administrative building is now being renovated so that it will include a salon and a café. These facilities will be utilized to offer breakfasts and dinners to hotel guests. But in the future, there are plans allow park users to also have meals here.

Experienced-based activities:

In addition to the “nature experience-based activities” that were being offered such as, night star viewing, mountain weed harvesting and insect collecting, there are plans to offer new activities such as, sketching classes, yoga classes, aromatherapy and nature crafts. Furthermore, workshops where local knowledgeable persons and teachers come to the facilities will be held and farmers’ markets and catering events and cooking classes which link up with local restaurants will also be carried out.

Come and enjoy Japan’s rich nature by staying at this accommodation facility that is integrated with a park.

<Accommodation facility>

The whole accommodation facility will be rented out to one group

Fee: 50,000 yen (tax not included) maximum number of guests – 8

(8 double beds) 4 Western-style bedrooms, 1 Japanese-style bedroom, toilet, sink

<Dome Tent>

Guests can stay in the 4 dome tents set up inside the woods.

Fee: 16,000 yen (tax not included) persons per tent – 2 (2 single beds)

<Regular tents>

Spherical-shaped tents have been set up inside the woods.

Fee: 20,000 yen per tent (tax not included) maximum number of guests – 2 persons

(2 single beds)

*additional meal fees: Evening dinner and breakfast – 5,000 yen per person (tax not included)

*If a small child sleeps with a parent they will not be counted in the guest number.
