Mt.Fuji│

I had an opportunity to visit Japan at the Mount Fuji and the Kawaguchiko lake during the cherry blossom season. I chose to take the JR Chuo Line to the Otsuki Station at the Shinjuku Station, then turned to the Fujikyuko Line to the Kawaguchiko Station.

The design of the Fujikyuko Line train carriages is very tasteful and the woodwork compartment is covered with historical trace. The red velvet cushion on the train carriages is very comfortable to sit, and it shines under the sunlight.

The train slowly stopped, and I looked out the window at the cherry colored in pink and white. When the doors opened, there were several Japanese high school students coming in with loud noises, and they seemed like chatting about funny things of their classmates. It was very different from the Kyoto subway’s quiet atmosphere. In the suburb of Mount Fuji, they did not care about the noises, I kind of enjoyed the laughter of these young students, full of life.

As the train slowly approached the the Mount Fuji, it grew chilly, and I could see the snowy hilltop of the Mount Fuji. When I arrived at the Kawaguchiko Station, I walked out the station, on the right hand side, there was a tourist center. I noticed some Western tourists carried with climbing equipment , it seemed like they planned to climb the Mount Fuji. I smiled and nodded to them.

I asked the staff at the tourist center how to reach Kukuna Hotel. She made a phone call to the hotel, and 20 minutes later, a man with gray-hair shown up and picked me up from the station. He drove slowly along Kawaguchi, the reflection of the mountain and the sunset caught my attention. Everyone on the car was amazed by the beautiful scenery.

The lady at the reception was very kind, and she spoke simple English with a decent and gentle tone to ask the detail needs. I asked her to change my reservation from standard Japanese room to western suite. The next day when I checked out, I gave her a souvenir from Taiwan to her for all the kind arrangements. She replied me with a cute simle. As I walked out the front door of the hotel, the blue sky, the landscape, and the cherry blossom all connected together, this was the most beautiful scene I had ever seen. I waited on for the shuttle bus in front of the hotel. The lady from the hotel reception bowed and waved hands to all the passengers on the bus and said goodbye.
