Kawaï Nara

Julie Robert

I have rarely visited a city cuter than Nara.

Located 1 hour south of Kyoto, Japan, Nara is a traditional town with a lot of temples and deers. The town is rather small and very comfortable to visit by foot. If you are staying in Kyoto, take one whole day to get there.

First, let’s talk about the deers. Nara is very well know thanks to them — you have thousands of them in Nara ! The deers of Nara are well protected and you can buy little cookies especially made for them almost everywhere in town.

The other side of Nara is the traditional side of the town. The little temples you can find there are colorful, beautiful and harmonized with nature.

If you like animals and parks and want to escape the noise and stress of the city, a day in Nara is the best plan !

Nara has a unique atmosphere with all of its nature, wildlife and culture. The streets are also very interesting for original souvenir, tasty food and delicious matcha tea !

Nara is a little Kyoto but somehow different from the big ancient capital. It is less crowded, more friendly and more zen. As always in Japan, the locals are very kind and going at the tourist office as soon as you arrive at the station is the best plan to fully enjoy the city~

They will draw you a personal itinerary on a Map that you can do by foot 🙂
