Portumna Castle – circa. 1680
Languid and grey this lovely castle mansion hidden almost from view although its chimneys are clearly visible from a long way off from the harbour.
Moored up five minutes away from this impressive pile. Peace disturbed by arrival of two gin-palaces full of Germans.
