Lost in the Mystical Bamboo Garden at Night

Autumn is only a few steps away. As nights get longer, there is more time to enjoy Japan in darkness and light-ups. The Bamboo lantern festival (taketourou matsuri) will be a good kick start which is held in mid September in Yokohama, Kanagawa. Don’t miss the annual event held ONLY once a year and enjoy the beautiful night at the beautiful garden as well as autumn moon!

The festival is taken at the garden of a Japanese traditional style thatching house with hundreds of bamboo trees. The garden will be lightened up with 300 mini bamboo lanterns which creates very mystical look.

The festival will be held at Misono Park in Yokohama. It has a room only for 500 people with first come,first served basis. No pre-booking available so make sure that you will get there early!
