★A day in the life of a Baby developer★
Hello everyone!

We have been staying in this co-working space in Shibuya called Hive Shibuya. Big ups to everyone who makes everything happen at Hives (esp. Max Kinoshita Yoshihiko for letting us stay!) — I love being here and being immersed in this positive energy.

I am pleasantly surprised at the diversity of people who are working here — there is this one guy who dropped out of grad school (after being disappointed in how the latest cosmology explains the origin of the universe), or this guy who used work in an investment bank (and quit after learning that the job was sucking life out of him) — many come together to fill in this interesting space and creating something that they believe is beneficial for this society one way or the other.

Some of us are in their 30s, some are still in high school. Some complains they hate how Shibuya looks, some are overly excited to be here in Tokyo. Some of us have had a corporate job before, and some of us never worked before. We are motley crew of entrepreneurs, ended up in the same space by sheer luck or serendipity.

Serendipity is really the name of the game this month — we are very grateful of everyone who we met along our journey, and every single one of them have given us an opportunity to rethink why we do what we do — why care about human interaction? Why do we want to contribute to the betterment of humanity to begin with? When we talk to people we meet for the first time, we are forced to take a moment to think about ourselves, and leading life in this way has given us a tremendous opportunity to review our steps we have taken up until now.

Meet, get out, talk to people, enjoy being who you are, and be spontaneous and be reasonably nice to people — and you will enjoy this wild ride that is this life!

Anyway, we are leaving for San Francisco this Sunday, so we just wanted to give a cyber hug to everyone we met this summer — thank you and until next time, stay well, Tokyo:)

XOXO
