One of the most attractive areas for tourists to Tokyo is Asakusa area which has Kaminarimon Gate and Sensoji temple, but it may be not enough to spend a day wandering just in Asakusa. So here is a direction to move from there through Shitamachi (the traditional area in Tokyo) to another hot spot within walking distance.

Let’s head for Tokyo SKYTREE Town
You can easily go to the town by foot. It takes just approximately 15 mins to walk there. Starting with your back against the Kaminarimon Gate, you are able to find this gold symbol and the Skytree on your left side which are easy to notice. And then, you cross the Azumabashi Bridge over the Sumida River.
But just before crossing the bridge, an extra attraction will make your feet pause. That is TOKYO CRUISE. You can get to the Odaiba area and come back here by water bus. They have 2–4 cruises a hour, and as for the business hour, it is acceptable to buy the ticket by 18:00.

After crossing the bridge, just head for the Skytree. It is visible from anywhere due to its height so that you can keep looking at the top part of it.

If you have some worry about walking by yourself and can use Internet, search “Skytree” or “東京スカイツリー” with online-maps like the Google map.
Otherwise you can get there by riding a rickshaw (Jinrikisha 人力車.) It waits for you in front of Kaminari Gate or around Asakusa Station.
