The black sand beach at Vik, with the famed Reynisdrangar jutting out from the waters, was an amazing place to be. The fog and cold winds created a desolate almost haunting atmosphere and there was absolutely no one else on this entire stretch of sand that evening when we arrived ... it created a strong impression on me, and the desire to go back again (this happens to be the first dSLR photo that I am posting from Iceland! It was often hard to shoot with the dSLR for too long due to the lens fogging up or getting wet)
