Kosaka (小坂町?, Kosaka-machi) is a town located in Kazuno District, Akita Prefecture, in the Tōhoku region of northern Japan. As of 1 May 2017[update], the town had an estimated population of 5,134 and a population density 25.45 persons per km² in 2415 households[1]. The total area was 201.70 square kilometres (77.88 sq mi). In 2106, Kosaka was selected as one of The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan.[2]
