Tateshina (立科町?, Tateshina-machi) is a town located in Kitasaku District in south-central Nagano Prefecture, in the Chūbu region of Japan. As of 1 October 2016[update], the town had an estimated population of 7,189 and a population density of 108 persons per km². Its total area was 66.87 square kilometres (25.82 sq mi). Tateshina is famous for its apple orchards.
