NOTE： There are several routes to the top, I prefer to take the red route which is the best route for great views from the summit of Arthur's seat and not too steep. It'll take about two hours to come and back.

It is situated just to the east of the city centre, rises above the city, and provides excellent panoramic views of the city and beyond, is relatively easy to climb, and is popular for hillwalking.

NOTE：Cramond Island is a tidal island about one mile out to sea, which is connected to the mainland at low tide across the Drum Sands. On the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institute) Queensferry website there is a list of “safe crossing times” and it states that the “times are given as a guide and may change due to weather and conditions. Times listed in WHITE are the first safe crossing time and those listed in RED are when to be back on the mainland”.

NOTE：Mary King's Close is a historic close located UNDER buildings on the Royal Mile, in the historic Old Town area of Edinburgh, Scotland. The close was partially demolished and buried due to the building of the Royal Exchange in the 18th century, and later closed to the public for many years. The area became shrouded in myths and urban legends; tales of hauntings and murders abounded. 

NOTE：Calton hill is a best spot to photograph Edinburgh Castle, also, we can climb to Nelson Monument to see the beauty of city, but it will cost about £5 for the entrance if we get on the top.
