Catching the train with penguins to Shima Marineland!

Kintetsu Railway will be holding a one-day tour called “The backyard exploration adventure on the penguin train to Shima Marineland”.

This tour will be held about 6 times in total from October 2017 to April 2018.

This Penguin train is operated by Kintetsu Railway and Shima Marineland (Shima-shi, Mie prefecture) from November 2009 (Heisei 21). Some of the Humboldt penguins in the Shima Marineland will practice walking through the train carriage between Toba station and Kashikojima station.

Also at Shima Marineland, you can even touch the tortoise, which has filmed the Japanese monster movie called “Baby Gamera”, or take a commemorative photo together. Besides that, you can experience fish feeding.

● Tour date:

· 2017: 14th October (Sat), 19th November (Sun).

· 2018: 20th January (Sat), 18th February (Sun), 24th March (Sat), 25th April (Sun).

● How many people can join?

· About 120 peoples (Minimum number of 50 people) on the departure day.

● How much it cost?

· From Kintetsu Nagoya Station: Adult 8,280 yen, children 5,220 yen

· From Osaka Namba Station: Adults 8,990 yen, children 5,580 yen

· From Kyoto Station: Adults 9,530 yen, children 5,840 yen

· Special cost from different stations and child (3 years old and over).

· The cost has include train and express ticket, lunch, Shima Marineland entrance fee, event fee and tax etc.
