Toyota Rush that is also known as Daihatsu Terios is co-produced by Toyota with Japanese car manufacturer Daihatsu. First generation Terios was available under different brand names in different countries in the international market like the Toyota Cami in Japan, Perodua Kambara in Malaysia and Premier Rio in India. The second generation Terios is succeeded as Toyota Rush in Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia and other markets.

Indian market is buzzing with many SUV launches for the past few years and the Toyota had itself launched many MPV’s and SUV’s like the Innova and Fortuner. The Innova and Fortuner are well known brand that is ruling the Indian market and there is even more competition road ahead for Toyota. External Specification of the Toyota Rush

With no clear availability of information on the specification of Toyota Rush, it is expected that the Toyota Rush will come with standard Toyota external features including front grille and additional LED luminaries giving a tough masculine Look. Toyota Innova will get a broad front bumper with fog lamps and bash plate, highlighting its crossover lineage of tough SUV. The wheel base will be larger giving good ground clearance for riding the rugged roads and on and off plain surfaces.

Internal Specification of the Toyota Rush

The interior is expected to be spacious with chrome touch and more head room and leg room for comfortable driving. The passengers will get benefit from the utility holders, door pockets and big boot capacity. The ambience will look pleasant with AC vents and powered steering. The central console is completely occupied by the infotainment system, music system and USB ports.

Engine systems

Toyota Rush will get powered by a 1.5 L VVT-I engine which gives 107 bhp of power and torque rating of 141 Nm, like the Indonesian one. The transmission is automatic in international market, but it is expected to be five speed manual transmissions in India considering the cost and ground scenario. The safety measure is not to be missed and may come with either of the front airbags, ABS with EBD safety measures or both and with good front and rear suspension systems.

Toyota Rush will be a Tough SUV with attractive sporty traits that is designed to catch the attention of the youth. Toyota will face tough competition from the other brand players like the Hyundai, Renault, Maruti, and Mahindra and within its own brands after its launch. Toyota Rush is placed in the comparative price range with Rs. 7.5–10 lakhs. Thus Toyota Rush will serve as a mini-SUV with predicted good success after its launch in the Indian market.
