There are countless ways to eat Japanese rice since it goes well with almost all sub dishes. Thus, I am introducing a part of the ways to eat white rice focusing on major ones among Japanese people. Perhaps, you may have never had them before.

Furikake (ふりかけ)

Japanese people usually eat their staple diet with dried seasoning powder called Furikake. There are a lot of kinds of flavors made from regional foods around Japan such as green horseradish paste from Shizuoka pref. It is also recommendable to purchase Furikake as your souvenir since you can easily find it in any convenience stores and grocery stores.

Ochazuke (お茶漬け)

Ochazuke, a bowl of rice soaked in green tea, is widely eaten for breakfast and after drinking at night. Its salty taste will make you addicted to it.
